The purchases feature allows shoppers to purchase additional items while they request for their existing order of returns or exchanges. This feature will provide a more flexible and satisfying shopping experience for shoppers while increasing the potential for additional sales during the exchange or return process. Merchants can configure which parts of their catalog are available for any purchase.

The purchased item will be listed below the item for which the exchange or return request needs to be processed. Merchants are required to setup catalog and recommendations settings for initiating the purchase journey from any request creation.

To configure, go to:

Configure> Return Management> Purchase

You will see the following page:

To allow purchases across the portal, turn the toggle on.
